Elementary Education Programs

Elementary Education within the Educational Services Division directs the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programming related to instruction for students in Kindergarten through Grade Five in 25 schools. The Welcome to Kindergarten booklet provides information about kindergarten registration and program descriptions. Frameworks for Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies guide the development of course guides that ensure the delivery of a consistent curriculum that promotes high expectations for teachers and students, while providing consistency from school to school and teacher to teacher. Elementary students enhance their education through Art, Counseling/Life Skills, Physical Education, Vocal Music, Technology Skills, and use of Media Resources. Students in grades 3-5 have access to an individual safe email account through Gaggle to apply their technology skills, complete school projects, and communicate with their teacher(s) and classmates.

Grade level Curriculum Handbooks provide an overview of the content areas, curriculum descriptors, assessments, and learner indicators.  A Master Handbook provides parents with important information about Policies and Rules that govern the Millard Public Schools.
